Linda Rathbun

Real Men Wear Pink: Breast Cancer Survivor Linda Rathbun
Greg Rathbun tells his wife Linda’s breast cancer story and even though it’s a scary tale, it is also one filled with so much love. Linda’s cancer was diagnosed after her yearly mammogram. Greg said hundreds of thoughts went through their minds. He remembers the agony of waiting for test results to come back, of worrying about his wife and what their future would look like. Greg’s words of wisdom for other cancer supporters is, “Have trust in your team of doctors! Get a second opinion, take notes and most of all just love and care for your loved one.” He admires Linda’s strength through the entire process saying,” Life can be short, enjoy life to the fullest.” Greg is proud to say his wife Linda will be 5 years cancer free as of August 2023!

A New Name, The Same Heart

For 30 years, our organization has been part of the fabric of this community — supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer with compassion, care, and connection.

As we’ve grown, so has our understanding of what our community needs. Today, our work goes beyond awareness — we are building meaningful connections, providing education, and offering direct support through our Breast Cancer Detection Fund.

That’s why we are proud to share that Nor-Cal Think Pink is becoming Nor-Cal Breast Cancer Connection.

This new name reflects who we are today and the future we are building — one rooted in connection, support, and ensuring that no one has to face breast cancer alone.

While our name is changing, our mission — and our heart — remain exactly the same.
