Real Men Wear Pink: Breast Cancer Survivor Heather Ryan
Cody Ryan loves his wife. He loves her strength most of all, “She has such an appreciation of beauty & happiness, and her strength in forgiveness & not holding a grudge is amazing.” Heather was diagnosed with breast cancer very early in February of 2023. To say they were in shock was an understatement. But true to her sassy personality, Heather went head on into her breast cancer fight. Cody says, “She has never settled for the simple answers. She wants all the information, all the whys and why nots.” Heather & Cody have learned so much through her diagnosis. Heather became her own advocate and if you ask Cody about how he feels about his wife, well you better be ready to settle in and throw some cornhole bags because this man just loves his wife!

A New Name, The Same Heart

For 30 years, our organization has been part of the fabric of this community — supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer with compassion, care, and connection.

As we’ve grown, so has our understanding of what our community needs. Today, our work goes beyond awareness — we are building meaningful connections, providing education, and offering direct support through our Breast Cancer Detection Fund.

That’s why we are proud to share that Nor-Cal Think Pink is becoming Nor-Cal Breast Cancer Connection.

This new name reflects who we are today and the future we are building — one rooted in connection, support, and ensuring that no one has to face breast cancer alone.

While our name is changing, our mission — and our heart — remain exactly the same.
